Jim E. Brown
Jim abruptly calls Double Heads at the start of "Dads & Grads Part 2," where he questions the DJs loyalty to Oddwood Ales and talks about his emotional support animal, a spineless rat that he has formed a codependent relationship with.
Jim calls back during "Uppers & Downers" to let the DJs know that he has monkeypox, which has been making him very sad. He has no poems and has instead started political writings on Substack about jogging on crack cocaine, and it costs 40 pounds to access (about 50 USD).
During "Thanksgiving Marathon," Jim calls in to ask the DJs for advice. He has just found a child in a dumpster, where Jim was digging through the rubbish looking for food. He's not sure whether to take the child to an orphanage or raise him. The child's face is covered in dirt and blood, and Jim is uncertain whether or not he can provide enough of his own milk for the child to survive. The DJs are split on what Jim should do, but ultimately taking the child to an orphanage seems like the best bet. Jim also admits that he threw his spineless rat from a previous episode into the river.
During "Ska is Risen," Jim tells the DJs that has been touring throughout the US, but it has been making him sadder due to people’s positive response of his depressing songs. He also recently got a job at a “banging pizza establishment” in Philadelphia, but has been fired twice since due to eating too much pizza.
Jim E. Brown is excited about Easter because he is able to eat the currants off of hot cross buns. Although he doesn’t make them himself, he goes to his local markets and eats the currants off until he is kicked out. He has a new album coming out, This is Jim E. Brown, which he claims to be the worst record he’s ever made.
During "We Bought a Volcano Part 2," Brown calls in to plug his new VHS and live album. He recently lost custody of his son, Tanner Brown, after leaving him in an orphanage while on a US tour. The judge who took his child away, Miranda Roberts, is now his on-and-off girlfriend, and they've been dating for six days. He has no interest in performing a song for them and hangs up quickly after the request.
