Filmmaker Spike Lee is set to take over NYC’s City Winery on February 10th for a very special evening of film, wine and music capped by a sneak peek of Da Sweet Blood of Jesus – the forthcoming film billed as “The Newest, Hottest Spike Lee Joint.” The event will celebrate Lee’s career as a groundbreaking director with a look back at some of his most iconic “joints” from She’s Gotta Have It to the present. Spike Lee will screen selections from the films and lead a discussion about his rich body of work with guests. Each ticket purchased for the preview event will include six wines paired with Lee’s films and a special musical performance to round out the affair – a great addition given the importance of Spike Lee’s film scores.
